Boreggo Pre-Running With Danny Hamel - David Bombard

Dave and I met through one of the greatest era's of Team Green. For those of you that were a part of the 90's Baja pre-running and winning hands down; every race below the border know exactly what I mean. Dave was an inspiration and a great friend during the short time I was able to work with him. There will only be a few that remember this story, and those of you that are celebrating Dave's life today will have to seek out the few that were at the Boreggo pit during pre-running to explain how Dave was the first to label a "firehose" a "gardenhose". I will surely miss Dave Chase as I do Danny Hamel. I am looking forward to the day when I meet with Dave and Danny in Heaven and share old stories. Read More...

Tecate Enduro - Tony Megla

I have fond memories of racing with Dave in D37 in the early '80's. Dave helped me out at the Tecate 250 Enduro in 1986 when I broke my foot very badly and I was rolling around on the ground in agony when Dave stopped to help me. He stayed with me for a long time and helped me get back on my bike. He rode behind me all the way (30 miles) to the finish just to make sure I made it back safely. I have never forgotten his generosity sacrificing his race to help me. I will miss seeing him.

Very Helpful - Scott Burch

I met Dave nearly 20 years ago thru my friends Richard, Ricky and Jessica Jackson. The running joke between Dave and I was "Burch, am I going to have to jet your bike again at Mammoth...or, are you finally going to show up ready to race" ?? ...I never showed up ready to race...didn't have to, always had Dave ready to "sneak" away from the factory guys to help me get my bike dialed in for the first novice practice ! Helluva a nice guy....and will be missed by many.

Dave- Cleyon and Sharon Loonsfoot

Very sad to hear about Dave...We have known Dave for such a long time. He was one of our many adopted kids from the desert. He was always smiling, always willing to help and knew alot about bikes. We will miss him and his joking ways. Condolences to all his family and friends.. Cleyon and Sharon Loonsfoot

Dave - Brian Salley

Dave was my hero! I met him thru good friend Tim Morton. Dave used to build Tim's CR 250 motors. My girlfriend (now wife!) would deliver and pick up Tim's motors as she worked near Dave's shop, DC Concepts. I've all ways liked the mechanics of motorcycles more that the riders. I felt honored to know him. When we went to SuperCross or the Glen Helen National, we all ways looked for Dave.Helluva nice guy, Helluva mechanic!

Desert Racer gone too soon - Michelle

What makes a desert racer? Is it the moment you pull up to the desert, waiting for the sun to rise so you can gear up and ride,or is it the moments you spend with your weekend family - bench racing/racing, talking about the whoops and course, figuring out what sections you can do without (cmon you have all done it) or is it the friends/family you make every weekend, year after year, do or die you will be there seeing their friendly faces? ...
