I wish I could be there to celebrate the life of a friend. Dave and I had an unusual relationship by means of both of us respected each other dearly. We were both competetive because we wanted each others race bikes to beat the other on race day; even though we were on the same team. It was similair to Dave Pyle and my relationship. We fully understood that no matter what, a Kawasaki / Pro-Circuit bike must cross the finish line first. Dave Chase and I even assisted each other on race day no matter which one of our bikes came into a pit first. During the long hours spent building a bike, we both helped each other at times. Since I was the machinist of the group, I did all his special machining for him, but he always ended up getting the raw deal by mounting all my \"Moose\" tires in return. In addition, we did share each others particular secrets and talents to ensure we won championships. The internal competition between us kept us sharp and focused on winning championships. And, indeed we did accomplish several championships for Kawasaki and Pro-Circuit. I will miss him dearly; just as most in the industry will too. God blessed us by allowing us to have great memories of Dave!
